Slide Prep:
For Videoed Speakers
IF YOUR PRESENTATION HAS BEEN
SELECTED TO BE VIDEO TAPED
AND POSTED ON THE DAC WEBSITE:
This is a GREAT opportunity
to share your work with the wider DA community. Due to the technical limitations
involved in making your presentation web-ready, you will have SPECIAL
requirements for your PowerPoint slides.
43rd VIDEO SESSIONS: Session 2, 7, 12,
17, 23, 29, 35, 41, 47, 53, 59
view a web video of last year's keynote!
Because you will be video taped, DAC Presentation Consultant,
Carla Otten, will be working very closely with you to develop your slides
and make certain that your slides will synch properly with the web video.
-
May 26, 2006: All presentations
must be done in PowerPoint. FTP an initial version
of your PowerPoint presentation to
the DAC Presentation Help Desk at ftp://mpweb1.dac.com (username:
slides, password:6123carla ). (Note: The size of your PPT file
can be greatly reduced by compressing it with WinZip.)
- June 22, 2006: Speakers-You should have received
feedback on your slides from the DAC Presentations Help Desk. Please
follow the suggestions given here at Slide
Prep .
- If you have submitted your slides to the DAC Presentation Help Desk
ON TIME, you will receive technical comments from your Session Chair
by July 7, 2006 (please contact the DAC office
if you have not).
-
You MUST have the FINAL COPY of
your PowerPoint slides to Carla Otten at slides@dac.com
BY JULY 14, 2006, one week prior to the conference.
We must have your file prior
to the conference as it must be pre-formatted for the video capture
process.
-
The video capture software is not able to record ALL
animation. Please try to limit the use of animations, or break up
complex animations into multiple slides. We cannot capture embedded
movies in your slides. If you wish to use embedded movies, please
provide two versions of your your slides, one with the movie and one
without the movie. Ask Carla, at slides@dac.com,
for assistance in developing your animations and slides for these
video taped sessions.
-
You MUST use the desktop computer provided
by DAC to present your slides.
