Voting Opens Today for Second Annual “Best of DAC” Awards
Awards Recognize Attendees’ Choice for Best of the Show on DAC Exhibit Floor
SAN FRANCISCO – July 27, 2009 – At the 46th Design Automation Conference (DAC) attendees have an opportunity to recognize exhibitors’ innovation in the second annual Best of DAC Awards. Awards will be given based on attendee voting which opens today and continues until Wednesday, July 29. The “Best of DAC” Awards will recognize exhibitors that received the most attendee votes in each of the seven award categories. The awards will be presented on Wednesday, July 29 at 5 p.m. in the Exhibitor Forum, Booth #4359. The 46th DAC is being held this week at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
“The Best of DAC Awards program is a fun way for attendees to voice their opinions and provides exhibitors with valuable feedback, as well,” said Andrew Kahng, general chair, 45th DAC Executive Committee. “The Awards were a popular part of last year’s exhibit and we are pleased to expand them this year to include best pavilion panel presentation.”
The Best of DAC Awards will recognize exhibitors in the following award categories: best overall new product; best floor demonstration; most interesting first-time exhibitor; attendees’ choice veteran exhibitor; best booth; best booth giveaway; and pavilion panel. The exhibitors receiving the next highest number of votes in each category will be recognized as “Trendsetters”.
Non-exhibitor attendees will make their selections through a voting option on the DAC home page, available on DACnet computer kiosks located throughout Moscone Convention Center or any Web enabled-device at http://itnintl.com/bestofdac/ beginning today and continuing until noon on Wednesday, July 29. By voting, attendees will be entered in a prize drawing. Information on rules and eligibility for the Best of DAC Awards is available at www.dac.com.
About DAC
The Design Automation Conference (DAC) is recognized as the premier event for the design of electronic circuits and systems, and for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and silicon solutions. A diverse worldwide community representing more than 1,000 organizations attends each year, from system designers and architects, logic and circuit designers, validation engineers, CAD managers, senior managers and executives to researchers and academicians from leading universities. Close to 60 technical sessions selected by a committee of electronic design experts offer information on recent developments and trends, management practices and new products, methodologies and technologies. A highlight of DAC is its Exhibition and Suite area with approximately 200 of the leading and emerging EDA, silicon, IP and design services providers. The conference is sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Electronic Design Automation Consortium (EDA Consortium), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and is supported by ACM's Special Interest Group on Design Automation (SIGDA) and IEEE’s Council on Electronic Design Automation (CEDA), Circuits and Systems Society (CASS), and Computer-Aided Network Design (CANDE) Committee.
