Optimizing the use of resources is a mandatory prerequisite for the design of viable complex embedded systems. The session contains recent approaches that make use of offline and online methods to reduce resource interference, minimize execution time and latency, reduce the power consumption and increase the life-time of dark silicon devices, and optimize memory footprint and check-pointing in non-volatile processors.
