The State of EDA: A View from Wall Street

We will examine the financial performance and structure of the EDA industry from 2007 through 2017, as well as some of the technical trends and requirements that have affected its performance and the EDA companies’ strategies. In addition, we will examine the effects in recent years of semiconductor industry consolidation, including in particular the progression of semiconductor R&D spending. Lastly, we will examine how the market value of the publicly-held EDA companies has evolved and provide our financial projections for EDA through 2020.
Biography: Mr. Vleeschhouwer has over 37 years of research analyst experience in the technology sector, including software, computer hardware, semiconductors, storage, imaging/digital printing, and digital mapping. Prior to Griffin Securities, he was senior software analyst at Merrill Lynch. His work has been recognized in the annual Institutional Investor, Greenwich Associates, and Bloomberg analyst rankings. He has presented regularly at various industry and corporate conferences, in addition to appearances on CNBC and other media. He received his B.A. degree in Economics & Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his MBA degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
